Below the diagrams in the first two posts you will find links to larger versions that you can save to your computer and print out.

There are a lot more ground straps needed than just the battery to the chassis (i presume you mean engine). If the frame and cab are not grounded, that might cause the problem you are seeing. Read through this post....

Thanks for that electrical diagram link.
I read thru most of it.
In post #302 there is a very clear Full diagram.
That will help when I rewire my truck.
