It is a major pain. It took us 4 tries to finally get it looking good.
As mentioned, the earlier trim will be a whole lot easier to install. The grove and trim have to match. The later trim is a bit shorter and just makes it that much more difficult to install.
I got it (finally) using KY Jelly in places. If you're interested in how we did it let me know and I'll go into detail.
