We had to cut little notches in the trim on my truck and gently re-curve it. The reproduction trim was simply not bent correctly. Once re-shaped it stayed in the gasket, and went right in. Compare your trim to the glass, you may find it is not the right shape. Bent up on the passenger top corner, as I remember...

And yes, we notched it on the back side that fits in the groove, not on the face... just helped to re-curve it a little...
