Someone else on the forum did exactly that, but I cannot seem to find the link I am sure I saved.

Anyway the member used a trailer fender and had a neat tie down/quick release strap on it.

Everyone needs a spare tire and one that's easy to get to yet out of the way.

Be sure to put a drain hole in the bottom and for obvious reasons, check the pressure of your spare on a regular basis.
