I think what everyone is complaining about is the person that is selling a truck that is a rusted out POC and dismisses the repairs as not a big deal. Just because fast and loud can rebuild a truck in an hour and get $85,000.00 for it does not mean their used and abused 67 C10 is now worth $25,000.00. Most people on this site are either doing the work or have done the work and we know replacing floor pans does not happen in an afternoon for $50.00.
Even the people that restore rare exotic cars have to look at the cost of repairs to assess the value of a Ferrari that has sat in the mud for 30 years. Maybe because we do have this knowledge is why we are more critical of a craigslist rust free project truck that "ran when I parked it".
