Well, the kids are back in school, so it’s garage time
Made a small amount of progress tonight by installing the correct LS engine mounts from PB. I had previously been trying to use the smallblock mounts with adapter plates, which was causing all sorts of issues, most immediately, poor header fitment. The LS specific mounts move the engine forward slightly, but most importantly are about an inch taller than the SBC version.
The long tubes from Speed Engineering now fit like they were made for it: the drivers side front primary tucks in nice and tight to the block for steering shaft clearance, the passenger front primaries now clear the upper coilover mount, and the collectors tuck up in the frame quite nicely
