I have done this with a 500CFM Edelbrock carb and intake and I have also changed intake and ran a reman Q jet. Personally I would run a proper Q jet again as I had good luck with it.
Edelbrock was good, but imho the Q jet did great.
You could also..... Stop, I’m getting side tracked. I have an opinion for fuel injection if your open to the idea.
