Keep in mind, you may not get it correct the first time. I would mount the engine mounts on the engine and use some clamps to hold the cross-member in place while you check placement. Sometime you can get it right the first time, In my case I usually move the engine 3-4 times before its right in the place I want it.

I have seen a lot of V8's in trucks and never are they all in the exact same spot. Close but they always very a little.

In my 59 I put the engine as far back and down as I could, but I also retained stock steering and crossmember, so My engine is higher and forward a little for steering access.

In your case you dont have that front cross-member and you have IFS. You could really almost put that engine any place and be good. But mocking it up will be worth the time. Check your steering shaft access and exhaust access prior to making the final position.

I'm assuming you will be running an electric fan, so your position of the engine to the radiator should not make much difference. Had you wanted to run a mechanical fan you would want it positioned as to pull air from the radiator.

So many details depending on your build.
