I have a Carriage Works billet grille (no bowtie), that I am very happy with, and I got it cheaper than other brands too. I saw a post from another member (cannot remember who it was) about using a rod from the hood latch down to a spot behind the bumper, and used that method. I just reach back behind the front bumper and push up on the rod to release the hood. Simple and has worked perfect. Another member had commented on how easy it was to bend the bars in the billet grill reaching through for the latch, and it is easy to do, as well as being hard to trip the latch. I would consider using a remote from inside the truck also, if someone comes up with a good idea. Here is a pic of my grill the day I installed it:
