OK, thanks. I did check into it. There's a bus terminal near you:

A rough estimate on the greyhound site yields about 150 bucks to ship from that location to my local pickup spot ( that's with 800 insurance ).
I have no idea what their requirements are as far as packaging though.
For future reference on shipping large bulk stuff this may be an option for folks out there so I figured I'd post it up anyway.
