I did a 307 to a 350 swap a few years ago with a similar setup. I machined the flywheel and reused it. If I remember correctly, it was the bigger of the 2 sizes. The 3 speed transmission will hold up just fine.
If your new engine is a 1986-up block with a one-piece rear main, you WILL need to replace the flywheel with the correct one.
