Ok haven't done too much since last post, I did build a makeshift welder cart ( my 5 year old daughter helped), that has a couple of design faults, but with a little modification will work fine (my fault not the 5 year olds). I tried to mount/ mock up the 4.8, the factory style 73-80 mounts didn't work ( motor side, not frame side). And I ordered about $1200 in parts. To include dirty dingo sliders, and a bunch of patch panels, new stainless brake lines, and cab rubber from GMCPauls, also deer season started today, so this might take a while. I should also mention, I have ZER0 bodywork experience, have only read about it, I can weld hoping I don't screw it up.
