Cleaning it up aerodynamically will help. Lowering my S10 Blazer upped my highway mileage from 18-19 to 21-22. Getting the front air dam down within 6" of the ground makes a difference. Do a search for air dam or spoiler. Switch to smaller mirrors, remove the radio antenna. Put a cover on the bed or remove the tailgate. Put skinny tires on. Get a set of Bonneville disk wheel covers. Think salt flat racer.
