No one actually knows for sure it has gone back and forth. Some thought that if you had the rear inside spare holder the jack went back there with the holder. I have had my blazer 24yrs and it came from the orginial owner. The first thing I did was put monster tires and a lift. I remember looking at the entire jack assembly straped in behind that seat and thinking that was cool how it all fit. Also thought won't be needing it either and ripped it out. I still have everything but I was only 16 and cannot remember how it all went. So the big mystery is for a picture and explanation of how it was installed. Also I have an inside spare holder but the jack was behind the seat so who knows.
