If it is then yes you will have to beat it off are use a puller. I would use the puller first and if that didn't work beat it off soak it good first though before you do anything they are not press fit it should slide off.
Andy, the truck is a manual transmission without title steering. The quality photo I attached shows the bearing on the shaft...look to the right of the dishwasher.
