this is totally non original looking but i thought it would be a neat idea. a friend of mine raises elk and harvests the velvet, so the animal produces "buttons" or the remains of the antler after it is harvested. these things are shaped just right for my hand and i have one i plan to drill and epoxy a threaded insert into and use it for my shifter handle.
