Re: Which has more value, Chevy or GMC trucks?
Pertaining to the leaf/coil springs between the two brands, Chevy offered the trailing arm suspension with coil springs as 'standard', but could be optioned with leaf springs. GMC offered leaf springs as 'standard', but could be optioned with coils, up to either 3/4 ton or 1 ton, I'm not sure. This is a personal preference issue, but I can say that when I set out to find a slant nose GMC, it was far more difficult to find than the Chevrolet variant. Not to say one is better, or more valuable, but I would have(and ultimately did) happily pay more for the GMC. I had to travel pretty far, and pay a premium, but found what I wanted.
