I also got confusing signals when researching that. All I can say for certain, is my 2010 LMG with a 2005 6.0 flywheel places the friction face 1/8 inch closer to the block face compared to the 1987 small block. That's actual measurements.

I'm confident that an adjustable pivot ball will take up the difference in my application.
