Old thread I know but found this doing a search for some info. Since you had no replies thought I would do a follow up. Did you ever find the LH sport mirror backing plate you need? I have one LH , original oem, some light pitting but bead blasted, primed and cleaned up well. Nuts on back side have good threads. Can do pics if interested, LMK.
