The Bose/XM radio does not have the XM receiver built into the head unit.
You will still need the XM receiver module 22692861. That # is for an 03-04 (and early 05?). If your rig had XM from the factory the receiver module can be found in the RH end of the dash. The XM modules have theftlock codes. If you buy one used it'll have to be matched to your truck with a Tech2 or MDI.
It sounds like stuff has been removed.
Assuming it had the Bose sound system stock... You may want to verify the BOSE amp, subwoofer, and other speakers were not liberated too.
The Bose Tweeters are in the A-pillar trim so those are easy to verify. Tweeters in the door panel are the mid option UQ3 6 speaker system.
Bose door grilles can be swapped in easily. I replaced my rusty door speaker grilles with some pristine black grilles rather than sandblasting and re-painting mine.
Look in my build thread for the front and rear door Bose speaker numbers and how to access them. IMHO the Bose speakers sound better than the original mid model speakers in my truck even without the associated Bose amp and sub.
You can get a complete build sheet from GM via email. Every RPO and what it means along with the date your rig rolled out the door of the assembly line. Not sure how far back they go but 2004 should not be a problem. They've provided me build sheets for my 2000 GMC C2500 and I've read claims about folks with 1991 and earlier trucks that got build sheets in this manner.
It took several days to get an answer. They sent me a PDF of the build sheet with all of the original options installed in my trucks.
When you're trying to figure out what parts you need... It's handy to have things like the brake and suspension options or the charging system option among others.
If there are any outstanding Safety Recalls associated with your VIN they will email you about them. That's likely automated once the Email is associated with a specific VIN. I got a notice about my 2000 GMC tailgate cables that I long ago replaced with stainless.
