when looking at your rearend, there should be the model number cast into the webbing around the differential in the lower right hand corner. you may need to use a lil sandpaper to make it show. it will say "60" or "70". if there is a dana 70 in your truck, then it isn't stock...only 60's came in 3/4 ton trucks.

also, there should be a bill of materials number (BOM) stamped into the right hand axle tube. this is usually hard to find, but if you find it you can search the internet to find out what your rearend originally came under.
