71 disc brakes are just a little odd from the 72 up brakes. Most people use the 72 up disc brakes because of this. The brake lines for the 71 want work on the 72 up caliper.
72 up brakes all interchange up through the late 80's.
What size rotor is on it? If it's not the 11" rotor then it a aftermarket assembly.

Thanks for the info. According to the paperwork I have, the rotor is a stock 1972 C10 truck rotor. It fit perfectly on the spindle and the bearings and seal went on perfect. I am going to order a set of brake pads for a 1972 pickup and see if maybe that works. The next step is to order a 1972 caliper and see if the mounting holes line up on the spindle. I wish I would have just done the complete conversion kit, it would have been cheaper and I would know what I have, but that is the fun of these old trucks, right? LOL. I posted the numbers on the spindle, seems they are gm numbers as one has the GM in the number. My hope is that it is a 72 spindle and I can just drop in the 72 caliper and be done with it for now. Thanks to all who helped me out, More to come I am sure. LOL. Nest up after this, the rear brakes. I might convert them to disc now and avoid issues later. But cash is an issue as always.
