I did a little research when i did mine. The oils or painted would much better for everyday use, and you can always reoil or repaint. I put 2 coats of por15 on all the edges and undersides. Then stained and used used automotive clear. But i was going for more show then being used. Turned out really good little dirty in this pic. I also used Horkeys wood and parts, but he is only 10 miles from me.
