I missed that it was in my backyard, too. I see no reason to not believe it's real. The body got crappy sitting in the trees for 33 years. The V8 is in the 6cyl position to work with the transmission/transfer case/driveshaft positions/length, which puts the V8 back into the firewall like a factory 4wd. It wouldn't be back there if it was a factory V8.
Now I know exactly what truck this is. It truly sat since '86 on Sidney Rd. west of town not far from MD144. I watched it grow moss. It had wide tires and 10" white spokes. I never realized it was a NAPCO or I would have bugged the owner more. I just walked by to the door, never looked it over, just walked by assuming it was a K/20.Just recently we had a new member from Mt. Airy post in Heavy Haulers about his crewcab E-model GMC. I asked where he lived and when he told me Sidney Rd I mentioned this truck. He told me it finally disappeared. I drove by and noticed the crewcab at the place right next door.
No Mike. Other than aches and pains I'm still kickin' up as much dust as any young'n. Ain't been sick since I don't know when
