I have an 86 K30 and I saved that pic years ago. Mine has 16" rims and 235 85 16 Swamper Irok ND's on it right now.
I found a set of 16.5 rims from a motor home that I will run with the Wrangler II military tires. I have a set off my Jimmy from way back. My truck is an off-road only farm truck.
You should have no problems running 16's. I've run steel and the Alcoas that are currently on mine.
