Well, I'm planning a cross-country move (West to East) and U-Haul wanted $4500 for a 1-way rental. I picked up this bad boy for $2000, so I figure I'm already $2500 ahead.....and that's if I decide NOT to sell it when I get to the other side. If I do sell it, I'll wager that the move becomes "FREE"...
There's a side of me that thinks it'd be cool to use it for the move, then unbolt the aluminum box, and swap in a flatbed and make it into a really cool, retro car hauler for my '69 or '72 K5!!!
It could use a new hood, some new lights in the hood, two new wing windows, and new piece of driver side door glass. It needs a clutch too. There's no carpeting so I'm sure it's gonna be a LOUD sucker if I don't deal with that soon. It's a 3100 mile trip with no radio, and no sound proofing.....but I'll betcha I still have a blast!!!
