I had truck drop coils on the rear of my 61' and they were overstressed it seems. I'm guessing the weight of the suburban roof and side glass etc., added an extra bit too much.
I went back to stock springs and 2" blocks and stock replacement shocks as well. It rode a lot smoother too. I have the torsion bars in front so I just adjusted them down. Tires are 30" tall Yokohama skinnies for that stock look.
I never tow anything, but I did use to haul around some band PA equipment.
