It was a great visit. We went for a drive in my rusty old 69 CST/10 pickup and opened the hood and talked about our trucks until late at night.

Gerhard now knows Texas cuisine, because I smoked a brisket, Minion method smoking with wood and charcoal, on the pit starting Saturday night at 10pm and it was ready for supper at 6pm Sunday, 20 hours at 220 F. Then breakfast tacos with Picante sauce for breakfast this morning. He is now on his way to Harlingen TX.
