You are going to be way too careful with that panel to need door edge guards. I used to have to have them on my trucks, because I was all about having the options. I added them to trucks that never came with them. But I can't imagine bumping anything with my door when opening it. I know to be careful and I am. I never just flail the door open even in a junky vehicle.
