You know it! I had one on another vehicle and the thing somehow partly unscrewed itself. Easy to tighten back up, but, man the potential fire...

When my factory molded hose went bad, I simply bent up a piece of 3/8" steel brake line and put short nipples at the ends. As much stuff as was butchered on this truck, I'm not worried about that small bit of non-original parts.
