I'd bet mine is accurate within 50 or 25, based on sound.
Agreed. I’ve calibrated both of mine with my multimeter, and the tach stays pretty true all the way up through the range. Mind you, My engine is pretty much stock (warmed up a little), and I run a Points Distributor, with a Mallory Electronic conversion. I’ve not had a single problem in 20+ years
