I suspect that a different radiator has been put in your truck. My 3/4" hose comes off the side of the water pump, just above the water pump's gozinta hose. I think that the later model trucks may have had that hose come out of the radiator (like Cadillacs do), but in '70, at least on mine, it doesn't.

Looking back at post one, I see that that is not a stock intake, so I'll have to say that I'll just bow out of the discussion, after all this.
