Lars has a bunch of info posted on the corvette forums about quadrajets.

2 barrels would use a different intake than the quadrajet.

All quadrajets on these trucks were 750 CFM. The only 800 CFM ones were on 455s.

Leaded fuel is fine. Ethanol is the issue. Take the top off, look for gunk or corrosion.

The closer to stock original, the better.

Linkage - depends on the price. You can get a lot of replacement parts, or swap them.
