You can use the AT column. The AT lever collar isn't aesthetically pleasing on a MT truck but it will work.
1978-1991 harmonica plugs are the same pinout. 73-77 are different.
1973-1991 Wipers, dimmer, and cruise are separate from the harmonica plug. 73-83 are on the dash and floor. 84-91 have wiper and dimmer switches on the column but you aren't required to use them.
The above is only the wiring. You still have to deal with the steering shafts. GM used a splined and a Double D end on the column. I'm not sure what years were what configuration.
