I did crew on regatta patrol last Sunday, though. They had the Chesapeake Bay Bridge swim. Boy, those swimmers are fast! The exciting part was when a go-fast blew through the closed zone a hundred yards behind the swimmers at full speed.
He was so fast that the 41'-er and RIB couldn't even intercept much less chase him. They had to send the TV news chopper after him! We were just lucky no one got hurt...
