Yes as they both said above, the bill of sale is a protection for you as the seller, and also the buyer. It will protect you if they buyer does not change the title over in a timely manner, and the vehicle would be involved in a crime, whether it be tickets or actual criminal. Be sure you sign AND "Date" the title, don't play the "Give me some time to change the title over" Game...

How's Spokane doing anyway ??? I left there in 88....
