That push rod appears to be made of hardware store chinese junk threaded rod....and has no place in a braking system...
It also looks like the alignment of the rod when installed is not correct, placing the rod at an angle instead of a direct straight push.
The rod also looks undersized compared to stock diameter.
Just be thankful this didnt happen on a freeway at high speed.
