If I had the money right now and if your pickup was a 350 instead of a 454 then I might be looking at it, though I really wanted an earlier TBI version and I'm not so sure about the lift. Plus you are 1000++ miles away. One can always fix mechanical things but getting body/interior back to nice condition is a lot harder. I would look at the price vs the cost of a new one that I don't even like.

I really like the solid front axle trucks but I've found my 89 K1500 to be pretty capable to my surprise, except that the turning radius sucks. I don't do hard-core wheeling but I've jumped some stumps and pioneered some trails with it just out getting firewood. The truck I am looking for would be to carry a small eight foot camper and go across country, so the IFS would actually be desirable. I would spring the money and time for a cable control for the front axle. Funny, what I really want is a usable K20 for my "ranch" pickup and a nicer version Gmt400 for my road pickup. Guess I'm just not satisfied with anything
