Somebody I know with a classic TA removed the dealer installed tar coat on the entire bottom of the car to get back to original look of red primer.
He used mineral spirits a scraper and a heat gun.
Took him a month to do the whole car.

I had some on my 50 cab bottom but I sand blasted most of it off and then used mineral spirits for the rest.

Sand blaster gets in places you don't want it to.
