You don't see them because they are primarily a lowrider Bomba thing now and unless you have the whole nine yards of correct lowrider bomb regalia they look out of place and stuck on as an afterthought.
I always equate things like that on cars or trucks to being Similar to those Harley baggers you see belonging to HOG members who buy every trinket in the Harley shop's trinket section in the name of customizing in that they have the visors over the lights, extra lights a full ring of lights around the luggage box and bags and gold plated emblems on the removable covers on the engine. The "it's all custom because I spent 500 bucks in the trinket aisle" thing Not quite as lame as the stick on chrome plastic port holes at Autozone and the flame decals that get put on backwards but a close second.
Still I always subscribe to the concept that anything you put on your truck should blend in as a cohesive component of the total look and not draw attention to it's self before the eye takes in the complete truck as a unit. If the component makes the truck look like a background for said component it is wrong for that truck's build.
