I got a couple pics of how mine is set up currently with a manual valve. The last two pictures were from when I first got the truck. I have no clue where that valve came from or what application it was actually meant for, but it was hooked up to one of the control levers in the dash. I believe the previous owner of my truck swapped in the deluxe heater controls. Unfortunately, the old valve developed a leak, so I ended up replacing it.

For your heater core, you need the recirculating air core.

From the looks of the other control valve in the picture from Rockauto, I do not see a place where the cable could attach, but if you could figure out a way to make it attach, you could probably make it work.
