If you buy a used set of springs I would disassemble them, take a cup shape wire brush, or some kind of wire brush, or sand blast them, clean them up, paint each leaf by itself and then re-assemble the pack, they will look much better and operate smoother. I don't know where you would find the teflon inserts, but maybe the springs you get will have them intact and good.
