grabbed some earthquake straps from work for the floor- good 'n' solid now, no deflection at all
only problem with doing a ceiling- they go in before anything else....spent a few hrs trying to fit an almost 4x8 sheet of paneling in there...no way, no how, ain't happening. so i cut it down the middle and put a piece of trim over the cut...
guess i should have taken a "before" shot..
