Wheelbase is same as long bed trucks (8-ft bed), at 127 inches. However, the overall lengths of the frames differ. The LWB truck frame, at the rails, is 199.24 inches, while the Suburban (Body series CE/CS 109XX) is 211.80 inches. The difference is 12.56 inches. I am assuming this extra material is found at the rear of the chassis to accomodate the gas tank placement. This info from April 1, 1969 Frame Specifications for 1969 Truck Data Book. All other aspects of frame rail design, as in type of steel, side rail dimensions, yield strength of material and width over rails is the same for both LWB pickup chassis and Suburban chassis
