yes the 45 lbs soleniods will work fine. i actually had some 30 lb ones before but they didnt quite do the job. the trick in shaved door handles is the lenth of the cable. naturally you would think to just pull all the slack in and have the cable tight ready to pop it, but i had better luck when i left a little slack in it. some quality popper make all the difference too. i got my pair from www.a1electric.com
