Have two sets for a short bed. Should they be welded the full length or is there a gap between the inner and outer. What is filling the gap, RUST???????? My first resto and need help. 69 CST 396(#'s match), short bed, turbo 400, ps,pb a/c,buckets console,tach. Rare or not??? thanks in advance
