I am talking about a very small amount of teflon tape, on the threads only. I have done this very same trick on my tranny lines once when I had a leak and the problem was solved. Some people go grazy with the teflon tape, but you really only need a small amount. I usually place it at the leading edge of the threads (away from the flare tho), and as you thread in the line, it will work its way back across all the threads...if this makes sense.
