Go to Napa and get a new cap. Go to Ace hardware and get a new gasket. Ace actually sells something that works in this application

Been going on 2 years with mine. I made up another just in case. Rip that crappy Napa gasket off the gas cap immediately. The one you will replace it with is about 1/16 to 1/32 thicker and will make a excellent seal. The Ace gasket is either viton or nitrile and will last.

Sorry posted pics in another thread, had a couple guys say: I'm doing that!
