I am also anal about saving the box and old part until I'm sure the new one fits. A couple of weeks ago I changed the turn signal switch on my Jeep Wrangler. After two Taiwan manufactured switches were faulty, i took the old one apart and repaired it.

I found my 3/8 nut driver just now. It seems when I was installing the lower radiator hose, my attention was redirected to the radiator cap. While looking through my NOS caps, I laid the nut driver down beside them.

.........................now I don't remember why I needed the nut driver. I will go put it in it's proper place.
