I am having a simliar problem with my 64 with manual 4 wheel disc, Think I have figured it out tonight. I bought the power disc/disc master cylinder by mistake. I adjusted my rod in about 1/2 to 3/4 inch in and had great pressure then. I am going to drill a hole down from the current hole in the brake pedal tomorrow. Good luck
